Facilitate and inspire student learning and creativity by providing a variety of learning environments that foster collaboration and innovative
thinking to solve real world issues and authentic problems using digital tools and resources.
In my classroom, I often use a tool called Kahoot. Khaoot is an interactive online program that allows students to learn through an online virtual game. This website allows teachers to create multiple-choice questions from any subject, display the questions on a shared screen, and quiz the students either individually or in a group while they use their own mobile devices. Using Kahoot! has promoted serious academic success in my classroom. I often use this program when my students are preparing for any sort or quiz. They love it and as do I, because not only do my students strive to get the correct answer; they don’t even realize that they are using social and communication skills to solve problems. This program is extremely beneficial to my students because it helps me create a fun, memorable, and vigorous classroom setting for my student as they review and also expand their knowledge on certain topics.
I am able to assess my students formatively while using this application, because it allows me to see who got what wrong and right. It also allows me to use this technological based assessment to determine what needs to be retaught. I am even able to refamiliarize students with material through their answers via kahoot.
Lastly, this allowed to to inspire student learning and creativity by allowing the students to use their own devices, in pairs, to prepare for for exams, refamiliarize students with old concepts, and even allow them to assess their own learning.
